What Do You Need To Apply

Airline applications are extensive. Be sure to have the following information with you when applying. Please read carefully when answering the questions. We will assist you during training in applying for airlines currently hiring and interviewing!

You must provide 10 years of permanent residence history.

  • Street address, city, state, zip code.
  • Dates – month/year

 Employment history.

  • Name, address, and phone numbers of current and past employers.
  • Dates of employment
  • Name of supervisors
  • Job description
  • Starting and ending pay
  • If you are/were self-employed. Provide name and phone numbers for references who can verify your self-employment.

 Education History

  • Name, address, phone number of school.
  • Dates of attendance

 Documentation (you must have the actual documents; copies are not accepted):

  • Valid U.S. Passport (you must have a valid U.S. Passport to work for a U.S. based airline)
  • Green Card (if applicable)
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Social Security Card
  • High School Diploma or GED & other certificates, degrees or diplomas. (email administrative offices prior to your arrival and bring a copy with you to class)

Airlines will require a valid U.S. passport and a valid driver’s license.

Airlines will conduct a 10-year background check. Applicants with a criminal history may be disqualified for employment with an airline.

Student Housing that you will love

If you’ve ever stayed in student housing that was a little less desirable, have no fear. The Airline Academy has made arrangements with Homewood Suites to accommodate the housing needs of our students enrolled in the Customer Service / Flight Attendant program.

Each suite features separate living and sleeping areas and have convenient amenities such as a fully equipped kitchen with a full size refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. Coin operated laundry facilities are available for your use or you can take advantage of the Laundry/Valet service for $3.50.

Student Housing at Homewood Suites is conveniently close to many local and popular restaurants, such as; Volusia Mall (Food Court), Cheddars, Bleu Café, Bob Evans, Denny’s, Olive Garden, Outback Steakhouse and Ruby Tuesday.

Homewood Suites offers a complimentary grocery shopping service, a 24 hour on-site convenience shop, a complimentary hot full breakfast each day and Monday thru Thursday you can enjoy an evening social.

The Airline Academy ensures that getting to class is not a burden and provides transportation to and from class at The Daytona Beach International Airport each day at no additional charge.

The Airline Academy was founded in 1994 to meet the hiring needs of the airline industry. Competition for airline positions is extremely fierce. Only 5% of airline applications are granted interviews. Approximately 30% of those whoenter an airlines’ in-house training with no prior experience will be released. Airline Academy graduates have a 99% in-house training success rate.  Airline recruiters are eager to hire our graduates and have been doing so since 1995.

Our goal at The Airline Academy has always been to prepare each of our graduates with the competitive edge to succeed in the following areas.

  • Obtain an interview. We pride ourselves in the fact that we work with the airlines to conduct on-site interviews and offer lifetime placement assistance for our graduates.
  • Be hired. By working with the airlines 56% of our students are hired before graduation and we have an 86% placement rate with our graduates.
  • Pass the airlines in-house training. Our curriculum and training methods are frequently updated with input from members of our distinguished airline advisory board which includes some of the brightest in the airline industry.
