Preparations for Job Seeking

While in class, customer service & flight attendant students will learn and apply skills to help with job seeking. This includes:

  • Writing a top-notch resume
  • Training in airline specific interviewing skills
  • One-on-one meetings with our Director of Placement to determine employment interests and priorities

Interview Opportunities

Each month, one to two airlines are invited to our campus to interview our students before they enter the workforce at large. We choose the airlines based on the demographic of each individual class. This frequently results in the majority of the class being matched with an airline prior to leaving Daytona Beach! Upon successful completion graduates receive a packet of information detailing which airlines are currently hiring, what positions are available, what locations are open, age requirements, and application instructions. This information is updated on a monthly basis and will be sent as often as a graduate requests. Graduates will also receive email notification of open-houses being conducted in cities of interest as they arise.

Our grads say...

"About the third week you start filling out applications for airlines and training for interviews. The interview tips come in so handy. When it was time for me to do my interview for United Express, on campus, before I even graduated, I wasn't nervous at all. I just remembered the tips and did a lot of smiling because I was so excited to have that interview. I was hired to be a flight attendant for United Express, which honestly, I didn't think I could be because I was only 18 years old. But, since I had been to The Airline Academy, they accepted me. - Corretha P., Flight Attendant-United Express
