How to Choose a Living Situation as a Flight Attendant

Getting settled in a new city is always difficult, but when you’re a Flight Attendant it’s especially tough. Flight attendants don’t have the luxury of calling an apartment or house their own for very long before moving to a new location. You might only be based out of your home city for 6 months at a time which means that living in a new city every 6 months is the norm. Flight attendants might spend more time living in hotels than they do at their own houses!

So, when you’re based out of a different city every few months and your home base is hours away or even on the other side of the country, where should you live?

The Flight Attendant lifestyle is a nomad one, so it can be difficult to lay down roots. Flight attendants don’t have the luxury of calling a house their own for very long before having to pack up and move again. Flight Attendants might spend more time living in hotels than they do at their own houses. Flight attendants are based out of different cities every few months and their home base is usually somewhere else on the other side of the country!
So where should you live?

Here are some tips to help Flight Attendants find a good place to live:

– Flight attendants usually spend the most number of months living in hotels, so make sure to get an apartment with a hotel. It’s always nice having a hotel nearby, even if you’re not staying there.

– Flight Attendants might be moving around every six months, so try to find an apartment complex that you can rent out month-by-month, or even month-to-month if possible. Flight Attendants are usually moving around every six months!

– You don’t spend a lot of time in the same city, so make sure you enjoy living there. Flight attendants don’t have a lot of time to enjoy living in the same city, so make sure you choose one you truly love!
